Rabbits Are Good Pets :: A Persuasive Essay - Eva Varga

Remember when you were young, all the fun you had with Taffy? William Blake once said, “Everyone that lives, lives not alone nor for itself.”  This is one of the most important lessons pets teach kids. Tonight, Dad, I want to tell you about why rabbits are good pets.

Rabbits are good pets because they are social.  They like to play with toys and humans. The toys they like to play with are toilet paper rolls, balls and cardboard boxes with rabbit size holes cut in them. They shouldn’t have plastic though because they might chew on it and choke or swallow pieces that can’t be digested.

Rabbits are good pets because they are easy to care for. Rabbits are most active in the morning and in the evening. They live about 8-10 years. They are herbivores, eating fruit, vegetables and hay. You should clean their cage once a week.  You should also take them to a veterinarian at least once a year.

Rabbits are good pets because they are smart.  They can be trained to follow commands like “Come,” “Go home,” “Be clean,” and “No.”  They also can be taught to use a litter box.

Rabbits are good pets because they are social, easy to care for, and they are smart.  So, Dad, don’t you agree?  Rabbits are a good pet for me.

I like this, it is very good. I raise rabbits, and it sounds like this person knows plenty about them. I hope their dad let them get a bunny!
