I love teaching and sharing my passion for science with others, especially through in-person and now, online science courses. My mission is to provide you with the tools and inspiration to engage your students in meaningful, hands-on science and service learning experiences through tangible curriculum, shared resources, and real-world contexts.
In addition to the eBooks and curriculum I have written, I have also developed numerous online science courses for both children and adults. All the courses are self-paced and provide hands-on experiences. The courses for kids provide an opportunity for families to work together (if desired) and to collect data that they share with the other participating families. The adult courses provide educators with an opportunity to develop lessons and activities that they can use in their own classrooms or professional settings.
Each course is self-paced and participants work through the lessons and activities when it is convenient for them. The course is open to all ages but the content is geared towards middle-level students – parents and families are welcome to join in on the fun.
Thus far, these online science courses for kids have been offered summer of 2013 and again in the summer of 2015. There are plans to begin offering courses on a more regular basis throughout the school year.
I also teach several professional development courses for educators through the Heritage Institute. Each course provides professional development for personal interest, salary enhancement, and/or certificate renewal.
Continuing education quarter credits are available through Antioch University, acceptable in most states for recertification and in most school districts for salary enhancement.

If you should have any questions about the courses – please do not hesitate to contact me by email. If there is a specific course you would like to see – please let me know and I’ll do my best to accommodate your needs.
I am willing to design courses specifically to the interests of you and your children.
