My mission is to provide teachers with the tools and inspiration to engage their students in meaningful, hands-on science and service learning experiences through tangible curriculum, shared resources, and real-world contexts. Doing that takes a lot of hard work and effort on my part. There are a number of costs that go along with running this site: software to create, server and hosting fees, clip art, and technical support.
Therefore, I accept payment for advertisements in the blog sidebar and I also use affiliate links when available (media kit coming soon). I occasionally review products including curriculum kits, books, apps, and educational toys. Most of them are products I purchased with my own money and wanted to share with you. Others were given to me free of charge for the purpose of reviewing. Reviews for other companies in exchange for product will always be identified as such in the post. Regardless of where the products I review come from, the opinions shared in the review post are honest and are solely mine or those of my family. My views will never be swayed by advertising dollars or freebies.
Links to the following retailers are affiliate links and do generate commissions when you purchase through that link:
Rest assured there is no added cost for you. If you plan to buy from these retailers, I would appreciate you buying after clicking on my affiliate link. This is not an all inclusive list. Additional affiliate links may be used that are not listed here.
It is very important to me that you know I would never sell out my readers to make money. I strive to recommend products that our family has personally used and promote companies that we have personally worked with. It doesn’t matter how much someone is willing to pay me to promote their product – if it isn’t in the best interest of my family and my readers, it won’t happen.
Occasionally I may have a guest poster on my site, but this only happens if it is someone who has information that will benefit my readers and the topic relates to my blog. The posts are real – not something put together just for the sake of creating buzz about a product.
My family and my readers are important to me and I value your trust and do not want to do anything to undermine that trust! You are more than welcome to email me with any questions or concerns.
