Finishing Strong #116

Welcome to Finishing Strong ~ a weekly link-up dedicated to families homeschooling middle & high school kids. Each Wednesday, moms just like you share their best tips, encouragement, advice, and more for teaching older kids at home.

I am delighted that families homeschooling middle and high school age students are coming together and finding inspiration in one another. That’s has been the goal of Finishing Strong since its inception. Thank you!!

Finishing Strong is hosted by me here at EvaVarga along with my friends – Heather from Blog She Wrote, Megan and Susan from Education Possible, and Heidi from Starts at Eight.

Finishing-Strong-500x500I know you will find the posts that have been shared with us inspiring! Grab a cup of tea, kick back, and take some time to check out the wonderful posts shared below. What are your favorites?

Finishing Strong #116The most clicked on post shared last week was The Amazing College Alternative You’ll Want to Know About from Ann who blogs at Annie & Everything. Through more about the Praxis apprenticeship program whereby high school graduates go through three months of bootcamp and then six months of on-the-job experience at a high-growth startup company.

I love reading and historical fiction is my favorite genre. I thereby selected How to Teach History Using Fiction shared by Pat who blogs at Pat & Candy. Her post details a delightful multicultural children’s book titled,The Last Cherry Blossom.

Heidi’s post, Virtual Frog Dissection Resources, is another favorite of mine. Science is my favorite subject and I’m always looking for great resources and ideas for integrating science into our homeschool.
